Strategy Guide

This is a small guide to help you win the game.
First let me tell one thing: the game has two dice, so your chances are always random! You can be lucky or not, but you may choose wisely a bit of strategy to have more chances to win.
KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!
Yes, it's written on the rules but in the mess of a passage, a bit of confusion you may miss something important. I know there may be some fairplay house rules, but it's up to you to ask the banker 2000 when you pass the bank and not viceversa. And you must also ask your opponents to pay the nights before the next player rolls the die. A small oversight may make the difference for the whole game, mostly when a player is short on money and a loss could lead to one of its hotels being auctioned off.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT HOTEL
This is not real science, but it is more likely to lose a game by landing in an entrance of President rather than one of the Taj Mahal.
There are multiple factors to take into consideration, like the costs, the rent, the number of entrances, the opponent Hotels, and so on.
I try to resume the pros and cons for each hotel:
HotelPROSCONS
Hotel: Fujiyama
(aka RITZ, ORBIT HOTEL, L'AUBERGE DE LA POSTE, DRAGON GATE)
PROS: It can block the Boomerang and has two dedicated entrances, medium/low building cost
CONS: Low rent, mostly in 1987 and 2024 edition, but not so low in the 1974 edition
Hotel: Boomerang
(aka AUNTIE FLO'S, THE NERO, LE PIRATE ECHOUE', REEF RESORT, BOOMERANG BAY)
PROS: Low cost, fast completing and immediate medium rent, maybe the best hotel
CONS: Only four entrances, none of them dedicated

PROS: 1 dedicated entrance, can block L'Etoile, medium/low building cost
CONS: Low rent
Hotel: Safari

PROS: 3 dedicated entrances, medium rent
CONS: Medium cost
The above image, is table calculated by the Engineer Miguel de Frutos Pachón, the last row should represent the value of the hotels, as you can see the Boomerang is by far the first. You can check his article here .

Obviously, you must also choose the Hotel by looking at what your opponents own, if you have enough entrances to compete against the opposite Hotel and you think it will be worth the block it, you should buy it.
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR MONEY BEFORE INVESTING
Before throwing the building die remember that you may pay twice the cost. Try to calculate your next moves and how much money you may pay your opponents.
YOU MAY BE LUCKY
Before throwing the building for a high cost building, check if in your next move you can land in a "BUILD ONE PHASE FREE" space.
BE FAST TO BUILD THE MAIN BUILDING
If you have bought a new terrain and still have not built the main building, your opponents may take possession of it. If instead you have to chance to buy a terrain with no main building on it, you may make a big deal by buying it for half the price, always check if it is worth since most of the time it is!
BE WISE DURING THE AUCTIONS
If your money is enough, you should always carefully decide to buy an auctioned hotel. Beware that if nobody buys it, it may free a lot of spaces that your opponents could occupy with entrances of their hotels.
